Abstract
The article deals with issues of financial security in the context of identifi cation of factors of financial security of banks. It has been established that a financial safety factor is a certain condition that has an impact on financial security, including a positive one, whereas the «threat of fi nancial security» is a potential negative result of the impact on financial security. The classification of threats to the fi nancial security of the bank should be carried out according to such classifi cation criteria as the source of the occurrence, the degree of negative impact of the consequences of the threat, the form of damage, the duration of the threat, the possibility of the threat. The most typical threats to the financial security of the bank are external (contain factors that are the result of the external environment impact on the bank) and internal threat (factors that are either directly generated by the bank, or are part of its internal environment).
